Sweet Spot Recommendations
For most budget backpackers, I recommend a down mummy bag with a fill power of at least 550 cuin and an ISO lower-limit temperature rating of 20°F (used on a sleeping pad with an R-value of 2 to 4). This sleep system should keep you warm down to 32°F. Anything warmer will be expensive, heavy, or bulky. If the fill-power is less than 550 cuin, you might want to save money by buying a synthetic bag.

I haven’t tried this sleeping bag. If some reviewers are correct that it isn’t as warm as some other budget 20° bags, I would pay more for a warmer bag. If you are on a very tight budget, this bag is probably your best option.
